Dear Black Florida,

“The law historically has been a very imperfect tool for justice, as African-Americans know, but now it is exclusively the handmaiden of our corporate oppressors; now it is a mechanism for injustice.”  Chris Hedges, Rise Up Or Die, Truthdig.com, May 19th

By simply doing his job President Obama has an opportunity to speak to a wrong by using the Department of Justice in a federal case against the killer of Trayvon Martin.  This will, at the very least, tell the millions of people who supported his two historic runs for office “I got this.”

But those suffering the most in “the sunshine state” should be the template for a new worldwide movement, a new occupied wave, a new freedom moment.  Florida State Attorney Angela Corey, who was assigned this case by Governor Rick Scott, never wanted justice.  That’s what her history has proven.

Don’t ignore the education systems young people are trapped inside of.

It will take revolution not rest.
